The First-Ever BMW X5 M50i can deliver 67 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. Enhancements to the engine include a viscous damper on the crankshaft, stronger pistons and piston rings, and an iron coating on the cylinder walls. It is reputed that the X5 M50i will reach 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.
A Smooth Ride
With all that BMW X5 power the eight-speed automatic gearbox has been upgraded to include a launch-control function, and the M class of X5 tuns the suspension. The X5 M50i comes with adaptive dampers as standard. This SUV gets an M Sport exhaust system, bigger M Sport brakes, and an electronically controlled rear differential.
