The Ford car brand is one of the biggest automakers in the United States and a massive player in the world’s automotive market. Ford is very active in every segment with an array of top-class EVs, SUVs, Sedans, Coupes, Heavy and light-duty pickup trucks, Vans, and Utility Vehicles.
Ford’s vehicles are renowned for their unique styling, build quality, high-tech features, and environmentally friendly nature.
For the 2022 model year, the American automaker wants to get an edge over competitors as it adds new stunning nameplates to its lineup. We also see more EVs being rolled by the American auto giant, as it aims to electrify all its vehicles by 2030
Here are the significant changes in Ford’s Lineup for the 2022 model year
Ford has unveiled the all-new Maverick, a compact pickup truck that will share its platform with the Ford Escape and rugged Bronco Sport.
The 2022 Maverick will be available with a standard hybrid powertrain. Looking at Ford’s spectacular lineup of pickup trucks, the new Maverick will fit in as the smallest and most fuel-efficient due to its estimated rating of 40-mpg in the city and 33-mpg on the highway.
2022 F-150 Lightning
For the first time, we will see an electrified truck from the F-series. The new fully electric F-150 Lightning also has many high-tech features, including Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving tech and a gigantic 15.5 touchscreen infotainment setup.
2022 E Transit
The EV party continues as Ford electrifies America’s best-selling Van, the E-transit. The all-new 2022 E-transit is still the tough impressive Van we’ve always known, now with an electric powertrain and other exciting features.
The E Transit’s powertrain will produce 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque and boast a range of 126-miles (on the low-roof variant) with a 67-kWh battery.
2022 Super Duty
Ford’s Super Duty gets an updated infotainment system. It now features Ford’s latest sync4 software and a larger 12.0-inch display with Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration. The 2022 Super Duty also gets new exterior colors as well as reshuffled trim offerings.
2022 Bronco Raptor
Ford will release a performance variant of the off-road capable Bronco. While Ford hasn’t said much about the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor, we anticipate a twin-turbo V6 or something more powerful. Also, an enhanced all-wheel-drive system that will give its major competitors a good run for their money will probably be on the way.
