An optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, with a 248-horsepower, serves as an upgrade. It also uses the continuously variable automatic transmission.

The EPA of the 2020 Altima model is rated at 28 mpg city and 39 mpg highway. However, the higher grades are at 25 mpg city and 34 mpg highway, while the all-wheel-drive models can earn up to 26 mpg city and 36 mpg highway as the VC-Turbo engine produces 25 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.
